Tommy’s Pantry President, Wendy Kent, named Montgomery County Volunteer for the Year!
On Tuesday, June 25, Councilmember Kate Stewart awarded Wendy Kent the 2024 Montgomery County Volunteer of the Year Award before a sold out audience. In her acceptance speech, Wendy reminded the audience that “Tommy’s Pantry is an all volunteer run organization that would not function without the incredibly hard work of hundreds of people who dedicate their time, brain-power, physical strength and hearts to our mission.” She also thanked the Tommy’s Pantry co-founders, Sarah Goupell, Kathleen Bartels and Meg Holland-McDonald. As well as the Board of Directors, Sarah Goupell, Kathleen Bartels, Paula Kowalczuk, Adrienne Tilton, Sasha Johnson, Hannah Raskin, and Joe Newman.
