Since March of 2020, Tommy’s Pantry (formerly Takoma Park Middle School Cluster Food Support) has been collaborating with PTA leaders, school personnel, and local government to address pandemic food insecurity among our Takoma Park and Silver Spring neighbors.

As the need continues, that support network has developed into grants from and partnerships with agencies including Manna Foods, Adventist Community Services, Montgomery County, the City of Takoma Park, and the Takoma Foundation.

The added generosity of our donors and volunteers enables us to distribute shelf-stable food, produce, and healthcare/hygiene products (common household items families cannot purchase with food stamps) to more than 300 local families experiencing hardship 4-5 times each month.

We support 300+ families four times monthly at our distributions site.

Please consider becoming a Pantry Promoter by signing up for a recurring monthly donation to sustain our work throughout the entire year. Recurring monthly donations allow us to place advance purchase orders, which stretches donated dollars even further, and enables us to notify recipient families of upcoming distributions ahead of time so they can arrange transportation if needed. Thank you for supporting Takoma Park and Silver Spring families!
