“While the impact of the pandemic has opened our eyes to the many opportunities for support and connection, the generosity and eagerness of our neighbors to take action has been humbling. We are a community that lives our values every day. We see no end in sight to our work, but we do hope one day everyone in America will have all the food they need, and we will be put out of work.”
– Meg McDonald, Vice President of Tommy’s Pantry

Tommy’s Pantry leaders and volunteers united in March 2020 through a collaboration of COVID-19 food relief efforts at Takoma Park Middle School, Takoma Park Elementary School, Piney Branch Elementary School, and East Silver Spring Elementary School. While we have branched off as a separate non-profit entity, we will continue to work with local school, government, and community officials to make sure we are reaching local families in need.
